Meet Our Doctors

Dr. Aaron Bowman, O.D.

Aaron Bowman graduated from the State University of New York at Geneseo in 1999 and received his degree as a Doctor of Optometry from The Ohio State University College of Optometry in 2003. While at OSU, he was very active in Student Volunteer Optometric Services to Humanity (*SVOSH) and traveled to Venezuela, the Dominican Republic, and Honduras to provide optometric care to those in need. After graduating from Ohio State, Dr. Bowman completed his residency in hospital-based optometry at the Columbus and Chillicothe Veterans Clinics where he received extensive training in ocular disease management. Dr. Bowman has been in private practice since 2004. He joined the CustomEyes Family Optometry staff when he and Dr. Christine purchased the practice in 2006. His main interests include managing ocular diseases, fitting patients for contact lenses, and providing eye health care for children.

Dr. Bowman regularly volunteers at a free medical clinic offered through his church and has served countless hours at local VA clinics. Dr. Aaron and Dr. Christine are both involved in the American Optometric Association and the Ohio Optometric Association.

Dr. Christine Bowman, O.D.

Dr. Christine Bowman graduated from Duquesne University in Pittsburg, PA in 1998 and received her degree as a Doctor of Optometry from The Ohio State University College of Optometry in 2002. During her time at OSU, Dr. Christine was very active in *SVOSH. With SVOSH she traveled to Costa Rica, Venezuela, the Dominican Republic, and Honduras to provide optometric care to third world areas. After graduating from OSU, Dr. Bowman joined this practice working for the previous owner, Dr. Ronald Beal. She now enjoys working with patients of all ages, especially children. Dr. Christine is a provider of InfantSEE examinations which are free eye examinations given to infants as a community service.
